Nunavut Arctic College health programs require a Standard First Aid/CPR-C certificate, and first-aid certification may be required of the personal support workers in the territory's elder-care and home-support roles, so staff can respond to residents in an emergency.
A recognized, up-to-date first-aid/CPR certificate is the way to meet this expectation; it is in addition to the worker's occupational training and must be renewed periodically.
