As in the NWT, the number and level of first aiders result from a risk assessment combining workers per shift and remoteness (close/distant/isolated). Work-site first aiders must hold an Intermediate or Advanced qualification. The extreme remoteness of most communities almost always raises the required service level.

本课程为期16小时的急救培训符合CSA Z1210-17标准，专为医疗保健专业人员设计。培训结束后，学员将获得为期两年的有效认证，满足CSA Z1210-17标准中「中级急救培训」的要求。相关能力每年更新一次，培训须每两年续期一次以保持认证有效。本课程专为护士设计，可加强长期护理中心（CHSLD）及其他护理环境中受益人的安全。
确实需要“工作场所急救”证书？
该特定法定证书必须在立法机构处完整完成：Workers' Safety and Compensation Commission (WSCC — jointly with the NWT)。
Nunavut shares the WSCC with the NWT; the WSCC approves providers (CSA Z1210 compliance) and lists them on its website. A non-approved provider does not satisfy the requirement; its training only complements. Extreme remoteness further complicates access to in-person practical assessment.
